How to Create Magic Cake
This section provides detailed instructions and visual aids to guide you through the recipe. The complete list of ingredients and the full recipe are outlined below.
Step 1: Begin by preheating your oven to 325 degrees F. Prepare a 9-inch square metal baking pan by applying nonstick spray. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper to act as a sling, making it easier to lift the cake out later.

Step 2: In a small saucepan, combine milk and butter. Heat over low until the butter has melted completely. Remove from heat, ensuring the mixture does not boil or simmer.
Step 3: Using the whisk attachment on your stand mixer, add the egg whites to the bowl. Beat at medium-high speed for approximately 4-5 minutes until stiff peaks form. Set aside. The mixing speed may vary; just ensure you achieve stiff peaks.

Step 4: In another large bowl, combine egg yolks, sugar, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk for about 2 minutes until the mixture becomes pale and creamy.
Step 5: Incorporate the flour, whisking until just combined.

Step 6: Gradually whisk in the warm milk mixture.
Step 7: Fold in the whipped egg whites into the batter gently to maintain their volume. Take care not to deflate the egg whites during this process.

Step 8: Transfer the batter into the prepared baking pan.
Step 9: Bake for approximately 45-55 minutes, or until the top turns a light golden brown. The center may still have a slight jiggle when gently shaken.
Step 10: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for around 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Step 11: Sprinkle powdered sugar on top, slice, and serve.
